A Little About Me . . .

​

I used to make soda labels for Dr Pepper/Seven Up before I jumped ship to help individuals with dyslexia. My journey began in 2001.

​

• Graduated from SMU with a Master's in Learning Therapy and became a Certified Academic Language Therapist in 2003

• Taught in Wylie ISD and China Spring ISD for ten years in Dyslexia, Special Ed., and 4th Grade

• Became a Licensed Dyslexia Therapist in 2008 (Lic. # 1001)

• Graduated from SMU with a Master's in Education in 2009

• Earned by QI certification through Texas Scottish Rite Hospital in 2011

• Received my Educational Diagnostician Certification in 2018

• Taught 14 years in private therapy

• DTEC is offering TWO Dyslexia Therapist Training Cohorts:

  • Van ISD- INTRO Training begins July 7th - 18th​

  • DTEC Waco location - INTRO Training begins July 21st - August 1st
