Teaching Philosophy:
I believe teaching should be a deeply individualized, evidence-based process, rooted in respect for each student's unique learning profile. Guided by the principles of diagnostic and prescriptive teaching, I aim to meet students exactly where they are at and provide structured, sequential instruction that fosters measurable growth in reading, writing, and spelling.

Teaching Philosophy:
As a dyslexia therapist, I believe that every child can learn and thrive when given the right support, tools, and encouragement. My approach is rooted in empathy, patience, and evidence-based strategies that honor each learner's unique strengths and challenges. I strive to create a safe, structured, and empowering environment, where students can build confidence, develop essential literacy skills, and foster a lifelong love of learning. Collaboration with families and educators is key, as together we can celebrate progress and support each child's journey towards success.

Teaching Philosophy:
As a dyslexia therapist, I believe that every child with dyslexia possesses the ability to learn to read, and it is my role to unlock that potential with compassion, expertise, and intentional instruction. My philosophy centers on the conviction that reading difficulties are not a reflection of intelligence but rather a call for specialized, evidence-based approaches that honor the unique ways these students process language.
I ground instruction in the principles of structured literacy, incorporating systematic, explicit, and multi-sensory methods rooted in the science of reading. Through diagnostic and prescriptive teaching, I tailor lessons to meet each student's specific needs, ensuring a logical progression that builds on their strengths while addressing their areas of difficulty. I continuously assess and adapt my instruction, knowing that progress in not always linear and that flexibility is key to true remediation.
Just as critical as the instructional approach is the emotional support I offer. Students with dyslexia often arrive with frustration, shame, or diminished self-worth tied to their reading challenges. I work intentionally to create a safe, affirming environment where effort is celebrated, mistakes are normalized, and perseverance is cultivated. I strive to help students rebuild their confidence and see themselves as capable, competent learners.
I also believe that collaboration is essential. Partnering with families, classroom teachers, and other professionals ensures that students receive consistent, informed support across settings. I see myself not only as a therapist but also as an advocate - raising awareness, educating others, and championing the needs of students with dyslexia.
Ultimately, my goal is not just to teach a child to read, but to help them rediscover the joy in reading, the belief in themselves, and the tools to thrive both in and beyond the classroom.
