Write Idea: A Dysgraphia and Written Expression Intervention

Write Idea was designed for individuals with dysgraphia and is delivered through one-on-one or small group instruction of no more than six students by an educator trained in Write Idea. At this time, only the Take Flight/Bridges aligned add-on module is available for students concurrently receiving Take Flight or Bridges.

What We Do

Dyslexia Training of Waco is about improving the lives of children and adults to become life-long readers. You may be a teacher in a public or private school looking to become a Dyslexia Therapist. You may be an administrator who is looking to put the right information and tools into the hands of your staff. Take Flight is a rigorous training course that offers the highest level of training to prepare individuals so that they may give children with dyslexia the most effective tools and strategies to become life-long readers.

Become a Certified Academic Language Therapist

BUILD: A K-1 Early Reading Intervention Program

To meet the needs of the K-1 students who have been identified at risk for dyslexia, the staff of the Luke Waites Center of Dyslexia and Learning Disorders at Scottish Rite for Children has developed a 100-lessonreading intervention called BUILD: A K-1 Early Reading Intervention.

Rite Flight: A Classroom Reading Rate and Comprehension Program

Rite Flight: A Classroom Reading Rate Program and Rite Flight: A Classroom Comprehension Program are curricula written by the staff of the Luke Waites Center for Dyslexia & Learning Disorders at Scottish Rite for Children. Rite Flight programs equip teachers and reading specialists to help students increase their reading rate, fluency, and comprehension.

Turbo Start: A Dyslexia Curriculum for Newly Identified Students

A nine-week, evidence-based dyslexia intervention that can be used as part of a standard protocol dyslexia instruction program. The Turbo Start program provides a jump start for newly identified students with dyslexia who need comprehensive dyslexia intervention while awaiting placement in an intervention group.

Jet: A Fast-Paced Reading Intervention is a curriculum written by the staff of the Luke Waites Center for Dyslexia and Learning Disorders.

Jet is a one-year, fast-paced dyslexia intervention intended to meet the needs of older learners identified with dyslexia. Jet addresses all areas of instruction identified in the Texas Dyslexia Handbook.

Disorders at Scottish Rite for Children hospital in Dallas, Texas. Write Idea builds on the success of our previous dyslexia interventions, Take Flight and Bridges. However, Write Idea is unique among SRC programs because its purpose is to support students with dysgraphia.
